Annelise Anderson's Genealogy Page

This is my genealogy index page. The index and individual files were created with Gene Stark's program for converting Unix or DOS/Windows files from GEDCOM to HTML. It saved hours of time.

Here's a copy of the press release on Reagan's Secret War: The Untold Story of His Fight to Save the World from Nuclear Disaster, which I wrote with my husband, Martin Anderson. Based on newly declassified minutes of National Security Council meetings in which Reagan is quoted as he gives instructions and guidance to his NSC advisors, it's how he negotiated with the Soviets and succeeded in eliminating an entire class of nuclear weapons. Also some questions and answers on the book, and comments from Henry Kissinger, Sam Nunn, and others.

Reagan: A Life in Letters, which I edited with Martin Anderson and Kiron Skinner, was published September 23, 2003, was featured on the cover of TIME magazine's September 29 issue, and is available at bookstores--1,100 letters written by Reagan over the course of his life, few previously published, many from closed archives and private collections as well as the Ronald Reagan Library open collections. It's hard to read these letters and believe that Reagan was simply reading other people's lines as President.

Here's a copy of the press release on the earlier book, Reagan, In His Own Hand, I also edited.
